Who provides workers compensation benefits to injured workers in ND? Workforce Safety and Insurance (WSI) is the sole provider for workers compensation benefits in ND. WSI is, by law, supposed to provide injured workers "sure and certain relief" to all workers who are injured on the job in ND.

Can I choose a doctor that I want to go to to receive treatment for my work related injury? Yes, You can choose your own doctors to go to to receive treatment for your work related injuries. You must complete the following forum before you have a work related accident. Fill out page two of the DESIGNATED MEDICAL PROVIDER SELECTION FORM.  Give the original to your employer and keep a copy for yourself.

When I went to the emergency room after my work accident they told me that I must go to my employers designated medical provider. Is this true? You have the legal right to be treated at any emergency room you wish on the day your work accident occurs.
